**Stand Cancelling**((AKA SC)) is the act of cancelling a crouched dash by standing up. After you stand up, you are fully actionable.

To execute a Stand Cancel, hold duck then dash. During the dash, let go of the duck key. You will cancel the dash short and stand up. You can also execute a Stand Cancel by binding either mouse wheel up or down to crouch and scrolling up or down when you want to Stand Cancel (this allows you to Stand Cancel without holding down duck beforehand)

Stand Cancelling costs one bar of [[universaltech:stamina]].
After a Stand Cancel, you are completely actionable and can do anything. This includes another [[universaltech:dashing|Dashing]] in any direction, [[universaltech:jumping|jumping]], [[universaltech:dashjumping|Dash Jump]] or another [[removed:universaltech:standcancelling|Stand Cancel]]. The true utility of Stand Cancel is that you can do any of these options and more. It’s also simple to execute and better than regular dashing. 

<haze_sm> [[hero:haze|Haze]] and <grey-talon_sm> [[hero:greytalon|Grey Talon]] are not able to Stand Cancel. Attempting to Stand Cancel as them will result in a shitdash.

One use of Stand Cancelling is allowing you to dash quickly in rapid succession and change directions unpredictably. Another use is as a better [[universaltech:shortdashcrouchcancelling|SDCC]] during laning to confirm souls, since Stand Cancels have very little end lag.

To execute, hold duck during a dash, then at any time during the dash, let go. You should return to a standing position, where you are fully actionable. You can also execute Stand Cancelling by binding duck to the mouse wheel and scrolling up or down in the middle of a dash.

<haze_sm> [[hero:haze|Haze]] and <grey-talon_sm> [[hero:greytalon|Grey Talon]] are not able to Stand Cancel. Attempting to Stand Cancel as them will result in a **shitdash**.

By attempting to Stand Cancel, holding a movement key and then spamming dash, you are able to execute a shitdash. During a shitdash, you are unable to dash or crouch until the dash animation is fully complete. You are still able to shoot and use abilities.

Shitdashing, as the name implies, is completely useless. On a technical level, shitdashing is the dash animation overlaid on walking; this means shitdashing is only as fast as your move speed.
